ON SITE Mobile Testing Unit

Hearing Healthcare's on-site Mobile Testing Unit for Audiometric Hearing Tests

We have a state-of-the-art fitted Mobile Testing Unit which stays on-site for the duration of the Hearing Tests.  The sound booth inside the testing unit is fully calibrated and meets with I.S.O. standards. The audiometer is calibrated to the highest standards annually. Each test is carried out on-site by a qualified (certified to BSA standards) and experienced screening technician.

Hearing Healthcare Ireland Ltd. has been using these mobile testing units in various industries for audiometric testing successfully for the last 15 years. They are particularly useful in manoeuvring through difficult to access sites or for testing in cramped parking conditions.

With a minimum of down-time, each mobile screening test takes approximately 10-15 minutes and one person is tested at a time.  We can cater for all shift patterns – usually we will set up the Hearing Test Schedule in conjunction with the client company.  Depending on the exact breakdown of the shifts, we should test an average of 30 staff per day, based on an 8-hour working day. These numbers can vary depending on the scheduling, absenteeism of employees etc. No numbers are too large (or too small) for the testing.

It is also recommended (but not compulsory) that people avoid noise exposure 24 hours BEFORE THE TEST, or at least make sure they have worn hearing protection during any noise exposure beforehand. Although this information is recorded and taken into account as part of the test, it may influence the readings.
